A spectacular 2 day glacier hike escorted by the mancho Matterhorn and the Walliser alpine chain of 4,000 meter peaks.
The hut alone is worth a visit. Purely self sufficient, this modern, space-aged building generates its own power. Even rain and snow melt water is collected and stored in a cavern to provide the guests with flush toilets and four hot showers
Day 1: Take Gornergrat train to Rotenboden (2855).
Here the trek begins, traversîng the
Gornergletscher to continue up to the Monte Rosa Hütte (2883m, 3-4h)
Day 2: Trek down the Gornergletscher to Furi (1867m, 5h) -
take cable car to Zermatt.

Heres the plan-
Day 1
Travel to the Jungfraujoch via train from Interlaken. Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen. Trek over the Jungfraufirn to Konkordiaplatz
and overnight in the Konkordia mountain hut set at 2850m
Day 2
Glacier trek over the Grüneggfirn to Grünhornlücke and the Walliser
Fiescherfirn to overnight in the Finsteraarhornhütte 3048m
Day 3
Head south Fieschergletscher continuing - over the Galmigletscher - Studergletscher to overnight in the Oberaarjochhütte 3256m.
Day 4
Descend the Oberaargletscher to the lake that bears the same name.
From Berghaus Oberaar to Grimsel und return home
